The effects should last for about three years and the treatment last from four to eight weeks. This method is the best for someone who have dark teeth.

Gel prescribed by a dentist

A product recommended by a specialist is a perfect choice for someone who is afraid of side effects. A dentist will correctly pick the best product for your teeth and gums. Choose this method if you have really dark discolorations. The effects will last for about three years.

Dental crowns

Thanks to this method we can whiten one tooth that is damaged or dead (e.g. after the canal root treatment). The effect may last even for fifteen years. The most common side effect is an impression of having a foreign body in your mouth.

Porcelain veneers

This method consists in putting veneers over the teeth. Apart from the whitening effect, they may also improve the form and size of your teeth. The effects last from ten to fifteen years and a side effect - similarly to the dental crowns - is the impression of having a foreign body in your mouth.

Gels available in shops

Widely available products usually contain lesser concentration of whitening agent, therefore, the effects (which last only for about a year) will be less visible. They can also irritate your gums and cause teeth sensitivity.

Whitening toothpaste
